European levels:

The levels of language command are classified by the Common European Framework which is an internationally recognised classification of exams and levels accepted by the Council of Europe. The system thoroughly defines the range of language skills which must be mastered by the learners of a language to be able to communicate in it, and to ensure that the communication is set properly in any given sociolinguistic context.

The levels classified by the system:

C2 Mastery
C1 EOP - Effective Operational Proficiency
B2 Vantage
B1 Threshold
A2 Waystage
A1 Breakthrough

Level 2 – Pre-intermediate

Badminton

Badminton is a very popular leisure sport in most parts of the world. It is also a very ancient sport which comes from China. Ancient records show that people played it in China in the 5th century BC. They called the game Ti Jian Zi. It was also played in India and ancient Greece.

Modern badminton dates from the 19th century. It takes its name from Badminton House in England. The Duke of Beauford lived there and he enjoyed playing the game. 

It became an international competitive sport in the 20th century. It first became an Olympic sport at the Barcelona Games in 1992. Today one hundred and thirty one countries have badminton federations.
